Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • ASE Certification required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
  • Basic computer skills
  • A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be doing on a daily basis:

  • Performing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Give an estimate of time required for additional repairs
  • Directly communicate with the Service Advisor in order for customers to be well-informed of any additional services required
  • Diagnose, maintain and then repair vehicle automotive systems which includes air conditioning, brakes, suspension, electrical steering, transmission, engine, etc.
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Perform work stated on the repair order with efficiency and according to dealership procedures and policies
